Adjunct Professor of Finance
Ian D'Souza joined NYU Stern in 2006 and is an Adjunct Professor of Finance teaching behavioral & experimental finance and venture capital. He is also a founding member of the NYU Stern Family Office Council which in its first 3 years has grown to over 200 members.
Professor D'Souza has over 15 years of experience investing in liquid financial asset classes and structuring transactions for infrastructure assets such as telecommunications, roads and utilities. He has led teams in applied research, corporate finance and principal investments in Australia, Hong Kong, Western Europe and North America. He combines behavioral and fundamental factors (regulatory frameworks, macro cycles and micro sector themes, governance and public policy dynamics) when advising on corporate & government transactions, structuring GP-LP investments, and making investment & portfolio decisions.
Professor D'Souza is a senior advisor to several family office investment committees and acting Chief Operating Officer of Tegris LLC. He was the Chief Investment Officer, Telecoms & Managing Director at the family office of Luminus Management LLC, an infrastructure-focused fund and the Co-Founder & Portfolio Manager of Tri-Ring Capital LLC, a long-short TMT equity fund focused on fundamental and behavioral analysis.
