Jack HanlonJack Hanlon is Adjunct Professor of Retail Strategy & Analytics as part of NYU Stern's new one-of-a-kind Fashion & Luxury MBA, as well as the traditional MBA program. He is also teaching intro classes in "The History of Retail" and "Retail Valuations."

Prof. Hanlon is also the VP of Analytics & Insights at Jet.com where he started and scaled the Analytics, Data Science, and Research practices from Jet’s pre-launch period, through its record-breaking $3.3B acquisition by Walmart, to today.

At Jet, Prof. Hanlon serves on the Executive team and is responsible for Customer Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Research, Data Science, and Experimentation as well as Jet’s broader data strategy and data- powered products.

Previous to Jet, Prof. Hanlon co-founded Kinetic Social which grew to be one of the largest companies in social media advertising, executing campaigns on behalf of numerous Fortune 1000 companies (American Express, Delta, H&M, Mars, Citi, Victoria’s Secret, etc…), scaling to a 100+ person organization across 4 North American offices and raising $43M. As a result, he was named one of Forbes "30 under 30" and was invited to join the Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC). Previously he worked on AI/ML products at Google and several other tech startups.

Prof. Hanlon has also done a variety of work consulting for venture capital firms and retail companies from startup to Fortune 1000. As an educator and thought leader he has spoken at numerous key retail industry events on the topics of AI/ML and digital strategy and has been published in Forbes, AdAge, MediaPost, quoted in the WSJ, GroceryDive, and as a case provider for Prof. Sosulski’s award-winning book, Data Visualization Made Simple.
