Transform Sustainability into Financial Value:  Learn Strategies and Methodologies Through Case Learning with NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business

Please Note: This program is delivered in a live-online format via Zoom; participants are expected to attend all sessions in real time during scheduled hours, as recordings will not be available.

Our decade of research finds that the leaders who will be effective in today’s volatile world, and shape the next decade, will be those who see sustainability as an engine of opportunity—a motor driving resilience, innovation, collective benefit, and competitive advantage. Something that sharpens risk perception, unlocks innovation, stabilizes supply, attracts talent, earns trust, and drives growth.

Join our course with Distinguished Professor of Practice, Tensie Whelan, who will provide insights into how to best direct and track sustainability investments to unlock both financial returns and impact, and support your professional and career goals!

Sustainability it is about good management.  ESG issues are material to corporate performance on both the upside and downside. A food and beverage company supply chain may experience risk due to extreme weather caused by climate change, but there are also market demand and premiums associated with sustainable food and beverage offerings.

This course will demonstrate how delivering the right sustainability strategies and practices drives financial value across the enterprise and helps future-proof the company.  It will provide you with the financial skills and tools to unlock concrete returns and support the growth of the company.

Embedding sustainability into corporate strategy can help a company monetize upsides and downsides.  However, companies struggle with understanding and capturing those benefits and often underinvest in sustainability as a result.  We will help you learn how to navigate those challenges and demonstrate new approaches and tools to help you track and assess the past and future returns on sustainability investments.  We use cutting-edge research and tools developed with business partners across a wide variety of industries.
