An Update from the Dean of Executive Programs: 2020 Reflections & Looking Forward

December 2, 2020

Dear Executives,

As we reflect on the past year, we at NYU Stern Executive Education are particularly grateful for this community. This has been a challenging year for everyone, but your continued engagement has been a silver lining for our team, and we look forward to 2021 with optimism.

We sincerely thank each of you who participated in our new live online programs. Our goal was to provide high quality educational experiences that mirror classroom learning and expand your network, and so we are thrilled to hear feedback like the following from our Leadership Training for High Potentials course:

"The training exceeded all my expectations. [Prof. Nate Pettit] was great and all the exercises/breakouts perfectly reinforced the content in a fun and practical way and made it easy to connect with other participants in as meaningful a way as if we had been in person."

To that end, I wanted to provide an update on our plans for next year. Our Spring and Summer course schedule will remain as live online and asynchronous online programming. We hope to be back on campus at some point in 2021, but for now, we wanted to make sure that you can continue to learn without needing to account for uncertainties surrounding travel.

Our first program of 2021 will be a new course, Business Drivers of Industries: An Analytical Framework (January 19 - 22). You can learn more and register here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season, and look forward to seeing you in our classrooms--virtual or otherwise--in the new year.

Best wishes,

Robert Salomon
Vice Dean, Dean of Executive Programs
